Lately, I have been exfoliating my skin twice a week instead of once a week. I mix honey, sugar and avocado oil together, then lightly put this mixture on my skin in a slow circular motion. My skin absolutely glows afterwards. When our skin becomes flaky and dry, dead skin is usually the culprit. Dead skin can make our face and body look unhealthy and dull. That's why we should exfoliate a few times a week to speed up the removal of dead skin and toxins off of our skin.

1 tablespoon of raw honey
1-2 tablespoon of raw avocado oil or olive oil
2 teaspoons of sugar

Mix well. Apply, then rinse with warm water.

So what home facials are you using? How often?

  3. I tried this today but I used olive oil as I don't have avocado oil on hand. It was a fantastic exfoiliant! My face feels really fresh and clean yet still moisturized. When I first rinsed it out, my face felt very oily, so I followed it with a little bit of aveda cleansing foam. Maybe the avocado oil is lighter. I think I will use this weekly to clear off dead skin...thanks!

  4. Yes, I agree this mix is thebomb.com. Avocado oil is a dense oil, but it may absorb in the skin better. Far as lightness I think Grapeseed oil might be a better oil for your skin type.
