Every since Katrina hit New Orleans, New Orleans East has struggled to come back. So I was happy to see that a chic shopping area has emerged on Bullard. One of the chic shops in this new shopping area is Sweets & Eats Famous Cupcakes. This cute bakery has too many varieties of cupcakes to name. I love all of the cupcakes that I purchased, but I must say that the strawberry shortcake was so so good. It was decorated with a large sweet strawberry at the top! I also love the pralines offerings.

Remember when your grandma or in my case great great aunt used to make pralines in square shapes as well as round ones? I always loved the square ones, but you rarely can find a store selling the square ones. Well, look no farther, the Sweets & Eats fulfilled that craving nicely. I'm shame to say that I ate most of the box of candy that I bought. I know, I know, greedy right!? Ah well, gotta run... I mean literally, I gotta go run this off! Oh well I guess it's ok to cheat every once in a while...
